Naruto has transformed into various forms to increase his power. Here are all his 18 transformations as seen in the series! As a Jinchuriki who has a Biju or Tailed Beast within his body, Naruto Uzumaki can transform himself into various forms to increase his power. Here are complete 18 transformations of Naruto Uzumaki that has been shown in the anime and manga. 

18. Early Jinchuriki Form 

After receiving a little bit of the Bijuu's chakra inside their body, a Jinchuriki can start their transformation process. The early transformation makes them covered with red chakra that grants them physical strength, movement speed, and regenerative ability. When entering this stage, Naruto's hair getting longer a little bit, his eyes turn red, his whiskers getting bolder, and his fangs and claws getting sharper and longer. This transformation started to show since Naruto facing Haku in the Land of the Waves. 

17. Jinchuriki Version 1 - 1 Tail 

After that, the red chakras starting to transform into the respective Fox Beast and filled with bubbles and heat akin to boiled water, giving protection to Naruto from physical attacks - and can deflect Amaterasu. Interestingly, this chakra can move on its own, creating arms to attack and protecting Naruto from unexpected threats and cannot be assessed by the Sharingan . Not only that, Naruto's nature and behavior start to change into beast-like. 

16. Jinchuriki Version 1 - 2 Tails 

Entering Naruto Shippuden , Naruto can produce two tails in Version 1 . For each tail that sprouts, then his chakra supply, physical strength, and agility increased drastically. 

15. Jinchuriki Version 1 - 3 Tails 

The form that introduced when Naruto is facing Orochimaru again. Even though it's furiously strong, to the point it corners the Sannin , at this point, Naruto starts to get covered under the wrath and goes berserk until he loses his mind. 

14. Jinchuriki Version 2 - 4 Tails 

By letting wrath takes control of him, Kurama receives the full control upon Naruto's body and creates the 'chakra coat' Version 2 colored in reddish black. Without having to produce the overall Bijuu form, he can use most of his main power. Because controlled by Kurama, Naruto cannot differentiate which allies and enemies, only goes rampage until everything lies ahead destroyed. At the same time, the hot chakra that covers him also burns all of his body and keeps damaging himself constantly, even though he has regeneration power. 

13. Jinchuriki Version 2 - 6 Tails 

When he reaches the six tails mode, Nine-Tailed Fox bones start to form atop of his body. Even though it doesn't give additional powers, but those bones indicate that Naruto's transformation on letting Kurama fully has begun to show. For Killer B's case who can control the Eight Tailed Beast, he can produce bones on certain limbs to increase his power or his Lariat. 

12. Jinchuriki Version 2 - 7 Tails 

After bones, a transparent black chakra is back to cover Naruto's body. Along with increasing the total tails, his form starts to similar to Kurama's. This form only shows in Naruto Shippuden: Episode 295 anime only, not in the manga. 

11. Half Jinchuriki Transformation - 8 Tails 

Along with the closer the number of tails that come out, Kurama's form also starts to show clearly. Not only chakra and bones but also giant flesh already covers Naruto. This form introduced when Naruto pushes himself on defeating Rikudo Pain who destroyed Konohagakure. 

10. Sage Mode 

After training under Fukasaku at Myoboku Mountain, Naruto can unite his chakra with natural energy in a balanced way; creating senjutsu chakra and enters the Sage Mode to increase his fighting prowess, attack range, even an ability to detect chakra. It doesn't last long, only 5 minutes. Transformations in this form also not too many. He only receives red marks (in coloring pages in the manga) or orange (in the anime) around his eyes and his pupils turn horizontal, like frog eyes. 

9. Bijuu Mode - Failed 

At the dawn when Naruto is trying to master Nine-Tailed Beast's chakra usage alongside Killer B, Kurama who doesn't want to help him, makes him cannot do a perfect transformation - but instead turning into a little tiny fox where the duration is not too long. 

8. Bijuu Mode - Imperfect, 

Six Tails For a short time, Naruto once can produce Imperfect Bijuu Mode with six tails, before Kurana takes over his body. This transformation only appears in Naruto Shippuden Episode 295 in Power arc . 

7. Bijuu Mode - Perfect 

After mastering Kurama's chakra, Naruto almost can unleash full power from the tailed beast as well as creating his real form. But it's different than other Jinchuriki , instead of creating Kurama's form like a giant beast with flesh and furs, Naruto's Bijuu Mode instead takes shape of giant yellow chakra with black stripes all over his body. 

6. Kurama Chakra Mode - Yoton 

Not only summoning giant Kurama, but Naruto can also use Kurama's chakra for himself, like in Bijuu Mode, Naruto's body also colored yellow with black stripes. In this Chakra Mode, Yin Element, Naruto's chakra supply, and his agility increased tremendously. 

5. Kurama Mode - Inton 

After befriending Kurama, Naruto can transform into a new form - Kurama Mode Yang Element . 

4. Rikudo Sennin Mode 

Naruto's transformation given by Hagoromo Otsutsuki. His pupils turn into a mix of fox's thin vertical and frog's bold horizontal without marks around his eyes. His physical strength also increased out of charts to the point where he can kick Gudodama which can destroy everything it touches. Jutsus will receive a tremendous amount of natural energy and even can detect unseen chakra like Madara Uchiha's Limbo . 

3. Rikudou Sennin Mode + Kurama Chakra Mode 

When Naruto mixes Sennin Mode with Chakra Mode , his body is covered in some kind of black coat and bright yellow jacket. This power allows him to fly or stand in mid-air , moving so fast and surprising Kaguya Otsutsuki and can hold strong attacks like Chidori without a scratch. 

2. Rikudou Sennin Mode + Kurama Chakra Mode + Gudodama 

The combination of Sennin Mode and Chakra Mode as seen during the Fourth Shinobi World War is a little bit different than other versions. Not only his spiky hair making into a shape akin to horns on the back of his head, but he also receives seven Gudodama as his weapon. Remembering that Gudodama cannot be recreated, it can be assumed that he lost those things after the war ends. 

1. Ashura Kurama Mode 

Entering Bijuu Mode with Rikudo Sennin Mode creates a giant and larger Kurama than usual. Furthermore, he can combine with two Kage Bunshins to create Ashura Kurama Mode with three faces and six hands. This transformation allows Naruto to unleash Rikudo: Cho Odama Rasengan that destroys Valley of the End when struck with Sasuke Uchiha's Indra Arrow. 

The Best Form, BaryOn Mode
